Our Praise Team sings a variety of contemporary music from many of today’s Christian artists and leads in our Soul Café ontemporary Worship service every Sunday morning at 10:50 a.m. Membership on the Praise Team is through a spiritual and musical interview with our Pastor of Music and Worship, Brooks Clary.  You may contact him at 982-5531.

Our Sanctuary Handbells play a variety of handbell styles and levels of music. They lead in our Classic worship service about once every 5 weeks. They will also on occasion lead in our Contemporary “Soul Café” worship service. The Sanctuary Handbells also perform at several “beyond the walls” locations and participate in an annual handbell festival at Carson Newman College each winter. New members are always welcome after a brief interview with the director to assess experience and the best placement for success and excellence.

Creative Kids is an after school music and arts program for children in grades 1-6.  Begins on Monday, August 16, 2010. The children experience a snack, game time, a devotional related to our activities, different art classes throughout the semester and choir. Creative Kids has begun working on the "God's Recipe for a Thankful Heart."  We welcome Edith Kennedy to our teaching team. She has been a missionary in Mexico for many years and involved with music. She will be leading the music for this musical. For more information about Creative Kids, please contact the church office at 982-5531.

We are currently re-forming our church orchestra. The orchestra will accompany hymns in our Classic worship service on a regular basis and occasionally play a special piece of music for the prelude or to accompany the choir. They will also play occasionally in Soul Café. For more information, you may contact our Pastor of Music and Worship, Brooks Clary at 982-5531 or brooksclary@fbcmaryville.org.

We try to regularly incorporate drama into our worship services in order to set up a problem that is addressed in the sermon, to illustrate a point that will be made in the sermon or  to enhance the worship focus of the morning. Often we will write our own sketches to fit the need in worship. For more information, you may contact the church office at 982-5531 or our Pastor of Music and Worship,

For more information, you may contact our Pastor of Music and Worship, Brooks Clary at 982-5531 or brooksclary@fbcmaryville.org

We welcome many creative arts in our worship services and ministries - dance, sign language, painting, decorating, etc. If you have an artistic talent that you would like to share in ministry you may contact our Pastor of Music and Worship, Brooks Clary at 982-5531 or brooksclary@fbcmaryville.org.
