GARY STINNETT | ASSOCIATE PASTOR

Gary has lived in Blount County most of his life, moving here at age four. He has been married to his wife, Rhonda, for over 35 years. They have three adult children: Haley (married to Kyler), Tyler, and Hannah, and a granddaughter named Mabel.  He has been on staff at FBC Maryville since 2004, and while serving in a variety of roles during that time, his "first love" has always been youth ministry.  The adage “with age comes wisdom” rings true in Gary’s ministry.  Having helped Rhonda raise three kids and having ministered to literally thousands of youth during his tenure as a youth pastor, he is well-equipped to minister to and counsel young people in all areas of life. He is also a valuable resource and close friend to parents of young people. 

When not at the church, you might find Gary hiking, kayaking, fishing, golfing, or reading a book. His favorite possession is his 2006 Ford pick-up truck and currently, on his playlist, you’d find Michael Buble’, Lionel Richie, Casting Crowns, Crowder, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and Lauren Daigle.  Gary loves cooking and received rave reviews after once serving as "Guest Chef for a Day" at a popular local restaurant..
