Hour of Prayer
We will open up the sanctuary each Wednesday afternoon from 12pm to 1pm for individuals to come and pray.
Caregiver Support Group
Caregiver Cafe’ is a support group for those in our community who are caregivers—those who take care of family members and friends who suffer from chronic and terminal illnesses. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 9-11AM in the Snack Room of the Family Life Center. Participants will receive education, support, and companionship from the group, its leaders, and special guests. Due to the nature of this group, attendees should feel free to come and go as needed.

Joy Club - Soup and a Suggestion
Seniors, aged 55 and up will enjoy homemade soups and discuss plans for the upcoming year for the Joy Club. We need your input to shape the year ahead, so please join us and be part of the conversation. We will meet in the Craft Room at 11am. Please RSVP in the church office or at hello@fbcmaryville.org so we can make sure you have something to eat.

Youth and their parents are invited to this luncheon in the gym to learn more about upcoming youth events including the 2026 Youth Mission Trip

Chili Cook-Off
Come out and sample the best chilis that our church family has to offer. Cast your vote for the best chili by making a monetary donation to the chef. All proceeds will support our youth group’s 2025 summer mission trip.
Winners will be selected in two categories:
People’s Choice - The chef whose chili received the highest monetary donations.
2. Judges’ Award - The chef of the chili most preferred by a secret panel of judges.
To enter your chili, please sign up by emailing or contacting Gary Stinnett.

Christmas Wishes Party
We will have a party and gift distribution for families who were identified by school counselors and pre-approved by CommunityWorx. Many volunteers are needed. Please see Derrick Duncan or scan the QR code on the image to volunteer.
Christmas Cantata
We’ll present the Christmas Musical, “The Glory of Christmas, Celebrating Christ’s Birth,” on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 6pm, in the sanctuary. The glory of Christmas comes to live in this inspiring musical by Lloyd Larson. Through a blend of familiar carols and original songs, the choir, orchestra, and congregation alike will experience the beauty of the incarnation story as if they are experiencing it for the first time.
Kids Christmas PJ Party
Kids are invited to come to church in their pajamas for a Christmas party. Please bring a small finger food to share with friends. We are going to have a lot of fun!

New Beginnings Women’s Group
New Beginnings was established in 2022 to provide friendship, community, and spiritual growth opportunities for women in First Baptist Church and the Maryville area who find themselves alone in life’s journey.
It meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 1pm in room 207 of the Family Life Center, and it meets at other times as determined for social outings, meetings, etc.
Combined Service and Quarterly Business Meeting
We will meet together for worship in the Sanctuary in a Combined Service and stay for a Quarterly Business Meeting afterwards.
FBCM Thanksgiving Dinner with Friday Table
You are invited to share a free traditional Thanksgiving meal with us at The Friday Table on Nov. 28th in our gym.
