M-Serve at Second Harvest Food Bank
Come join us as we sort and pack food for families facing hunger across East Tennessee. This organization is the primary food bank for 18 East Tennessee counties, leading the effort to end hunger in our region. Sign up today on our Mission’s Page and help fight hunger in our community!
Caregiver Support Group
Caregiver Cafe’ is a support group for those in our community who are caregivers—those who take care of family members and friends who suffer from chronic and terminal illnesses. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 9-11AM in the Snack Room of the Family Life Center. Participants will receive education, support, and companionship from the group, its leaders, and special guests. Due to the nature of this group, attendees should feel free to come and go as needed.

M-Serve at Dash 4 Trash Litter Clean Up
Join Keep Blount Beautiful and Blount County Public Library for a litter cleanup in Maryville! We will meet at the front entrance of the library to gather supplies and receive instruction. Then we disperse to clean up designated areas of Maryville and Alcoa. All litter supplies will be provided. Volunteers should bring water and wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothes that can get dirty. After the cleanup, all volunteers will receive 15% off at the Bookmark Cafe in the Library.
JOY Club Picnic
Adults, aged 55 and older, are invited to a picnic at Lenoir City Park on Monday, June 15, at 11am. Bring your own lunch and enjoy the beautiful water views, walking trail, yard games, and most importantly, the joy of community together.
You can meet us at the park (6707 City Park Drive, Lenoir City, TN 37772) or you can ride the church van which will leave the church at 10:30 AM. No sign-up is necessary.

We are trying something new. In place of VBS/VBX, we are having our very first Kids Day Camp. This camp is for kids who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grades. The cost is $125 for the entire week which includes meals, snacks, a t-shirt, activity materials, and more. Scholarships are available.
Upon signing up, kids will be able to customize their experience by choosing tracks from a list of interest-based activities such as music, drama, sign language, sports, crafts, gaming, field games, and woodcraft/building.

Mother's Day Bake Sale and Silent Auction
We hope you will stop by the FLC Lobby after the services this Sunday to purchase bake goods and bid on auction items to support the youth summer mission trip to James Island, SC. There will be several different types of baked goods available to purchase as a treat for yourself and for your mom, and there will be these fun auction items to bid on as well: a homemade strawberry cake, three oil changes from Twin City Auto Dealerships, a high-quality pickleball paddle set, a hand-crafted one-of-a-kind knife, a blackberry wine cake made from a legendary FBCM recipe, and a homemade low-country boil for eight people at a location of your choosing..

New Beginnings Women’s Group
New Beginnings was established in 2022 to provide friendship, community, and spiritual growth opportunities for women in First Baptist Church and the Maryville area who find themselves alone in life’s journey.
It meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 1pm in room 207 of the Family Life Center, and it meets at other times as determined for social outings, meetings, etc.

Combined Service and Quarterly Business Meeting

Greeter Ministry Training
All current greeters plus anyone interested in serving as a greeter are invited to this training on Sunday, March 22, in the Craft Room after the services.. We will discuss subtle changes being made to the greeter program. Lunch will be provided. For more information, please contact Eric or Jaime Schmittou or the church office.
