MARK HUSSUNG | CLASSIC WORSHIP PASTOR

Mark Hussung came to First Baptist in January of 2023 to serve as Worship Pastor for the Classic Service.  Mark has a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati College/Conservatory of Music.  When he isn't at First Baptist leading worship services or rehearsals, he serves as Chair of the Music Department at Carson-Newman University, where he teaches students to play the piano.   

Mark and his wife, Rita, have three grown children, two grown dogs, and one feisty puppy.  Mark enjoys growing things, and he isn't picky about what he grows.  Flowers, vegetables, trees, and shrubs are all things he is excited to plant and tend.  

Mark loves planning and leading worship and is excited to be part of the Classic Service.
