2021 Nominations for Administrative Council Member
It is time to nominate church members to fill one at-large position on the Administrative Council.
The Administrative Council is made up of Pastoral Staff, chairpersons of the Building and Grounds Team, Deacon Body, Finance Team, Human Resources Team, Missions Team, Technology Team, Nursery School Team, Trustees, and three at-large members each serving a three-year term.
The functions of the Administrative Council is to vet and approve FBCM members recommended to serve on church teams; provide guidance to team chairpersons on church-related business; recommend, create, and provide oversight to specialized task forces; and determine if issues which fall outside FBCM By-Laws and financial procedures require a vote by the church membership.
Administrative Council members must be members of FBCM, both men and welcome, who can support the church’s mission and identity. They should have an administrative aptitude along with skills in communication, negotiation, and decision-making. They must be spiritually mature Christians who seek to discern God's will and should be strongly invested in our mission to love God and love others.
Once their terms are completed, Administrative and Pastoral Council members must take a year off before they can be nominated again. Therefore, Bob Stewart, Randy Hurst, and Randy Shults are not eligible and neither are those who are already on one of the Councils: Cindy Williams, Diane Hendrix, Ken Parham, Joe Hall, and Allen Kelley.
We have one open at-large church member position to fill for this term, and they will serve a three-year term from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2024. After prayerful consideration, please fill out the form below to submit your nomination(s). Nominations will be taken September 5-26. The councils will vet nominees and then present them to the church in a Special-Called Business Meeting on October 17.

This form must be submitted or turned in by Sunday, September 26, online, or, via the black nomination box outside the church office or the offering boxes.
