CHRISTMASWISHES
GIVE THE GIFT OF CHRISTMAS TO FAMILIES IN BLOUNT COUNTY
What is ChristmasWishes?
First Baptist Church of Maryville works with CommunityWorx’s ChristmasWishes program and other participating churches to provide Christmas gifts, parent gifts, clothing, and hygiene items to local families at Christmas. The families selected for this program were identified by our local schools and screened by CommunityWorx volunteers to make sure that they are not receiving assistance from any other local program.
Read below to find out how to get involved.
ADOPT A WISHLIST AND
PURCHASE THE ITEMS ON THE LIST
The wishlists, which are filled out by the families and approved by CommunityWorx volunteers, will be available for adoption at FBCM on Sunday, November 10. These can be adopted by individuals, families, and groups. You can adopt a gift list, a hygiene item list, underwear list, or a list of Christmas gift items from which children can shop and give as gifts to their parents. The estimated cost of each list is around $125 TO $150. Each list is specific to a child with gifts they requested. Clothing items are listed with each child’s specific sizes. Please pay attention to whether it is adult or child sizes.
Gifts are due back to the church by Dec 1st unwrapped and placed in dark, black trash bags with drawstrings. Please make sure the label with child’s ID number is attached to the trash bags.
